A while back when my grandmother was moving out of her home (now my parents') there was a stack of papers, and I was asked, "Do you want these?"
I mean sure, right? Maybe there's something good in there, who knows?
Lo, it was mostly copies of mid 1920's issues of The Youth's Companion Magazine.
I read those, found them interesting as a footnote in history, I had never heard of this publication before... But I was in. I acquired some more, then more, and yep, more.
A trip to the copy/scanner, and most of those are digitized. Well, a good chunk anyhow. And now I'm sharing them with you.
The very early issues ~1838 aren't so interesting, they read more like Sunday school pamphlets than anything else, but as the 1800's go on, the content becomes more secular, and starts to take a look at the widening world.
If there's an issue you know you need, and it's not listed, drop me a line and I'll see what I can do.
